Single Fin Dubai’s Great Traveler/Diner Reviews Earn it a Place Among Travelers’ Favorites

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 27 September, 2023 – Single Fin Dubai cafe today announced it has been recognized by Tripadvisor as a 2023 Travelers’ Choice award winner. The coveted award celebrates businesses that have consistently received great traveler reviews on Tripadvisor over the last 12 months, placing these winners among the 10% of all listings on Tripadvisor globally.

"We were always hungry.

When healthy food wasn’t within arms reach, that’s when the subtle panic would start to set in. 

Our business was active, early starts, applying what we had physically and mentally to all that we were building. Fueling busy long days was always going to be important.  

We didn’t know much about the restaurant business, or building a kitchen, but the idea of delicious and healthy food readily available in-house made a very strong case for us to explore further. 

A loyal member of the Surf House and community (Nasser Osseiran), was a passionate chef who was becoming a keen surfer and waterman. He was talented and spoke about cooking with a similar fervor to when we spoke about surfing. 

We sat and brainstormed all the things we wanted – a shopping list for exactly what would tick all the boxes, essentially our bespoke vision of an in-house f&b element to the business.

It had to be true to who we were, tied to our roots and weaved into the fabric of our brand. We wanted to create a menu inspired by dishes served around the World in the most iconic surfing destinations. Meals that had become synonymous with the surf lifestyle in places like Hawaii, Brazil, Australia. This gave us an immense diversity of flavours and ingredients to work with, all tied by a few common threads – great quality produce, nutritious, and delicious (healthy servings go without saying to satiate any surfer post 2 hour morning session). 

Single Fin was born in early 2017 with a mission to serve our local community with a healthy, scrumptious post surf bite at an honest price. 7 years later, we’re honoured to have such a diverse, loyal and ever-growing community base. Whilst we’ve served tens of thousands of our signature Mavericks Açai bowls, we’re pretty different to most restaurant business, as we don’t really have many ‘customers’ – we just have a whole lot of friends and family of the house.
